Excitement levels went sky high as both Suryakumar Yadav and Salman Ali Agha got ready at the centre for the spin of the coin at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The Asia Cup 2025 final between India and Pakistan had a unique start with two presenters talking to two captains post the toss.

‌As India and Pakistan warmed up for the high-octane final of the Asia Cup T20 2025 contest, a unique practice got proceedings off at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Just as Ravi Shastri started the broadcast, former pacer Waqar Younis was also seen beside him.

With viewers guessing why Waqar was there alongside the captains and the match referee, Suryakumar Yadav got lucky at the toss as he elected to bowl first. Even as the fans were going through the heartbreak of not seeing Hardik Pandya, who was not fit, in the all-important final, they still had an eye on the former Pakistan pacer who stood patiently.

Suryakumar announced that Shivam Dube, Rinku Singh, and Jasprit Bumrah were back in the side in place of Hardik Pandya, Harshit Rana, and Arshdeep Singh after their last Super Four game against Sri Lanka. But just as the Mumbai Indians batter walked away, Shastri also went missing from the frame.

Waqar took over as he interviewed Salman Ali Agha, who went on to explain that they were playing with the same side. Waqar’s presence now made sense as Twitter went into guessing mode throughout the toss proceedings.
