IND vs PAK | Twitter in splits as Sahibzada Farhan saves match fee in nick of time

Sahibzada Farhan completed his second consecutive half-century against India during Pakistan’s Asia Cup final at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The batter, however, was cautious enough not to get the ire of the ICC as he had a mellowed celebration after reaching the milestone.

‌After a slow start against India in the final of the Asia Cup T20 2025 in Dubai, Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan shifted gears in admirable fashion. He took on India’s spinners to accelerate the Men in Green’s scoring rate.

Farhan was on 12 off 13 deliveries as Pakistan could manage only 19 runs in the first three overs. But he took on pacer Jasprit Bumrah with a four and a six in his second over and then never looked back.

He hit two fours in Axar Patel’s two overs and six in between off Kuldeep Yadav to reach his second fifty in two matches against India. The opener looked like a man on a mission as he hit five fours and two sixes during his 35-ball fifty, but muted his celebrations just at the right time.

Just as he was about to repeat his blazing gun celebration, he was reminded of the International Cricket Council’s disciplinary action on teammate Haris Rauf and Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav. He just waved his willow after reversing it and reacting with a sheepish smile.

His teammates congratulated him with a standing ovation, but his action also had them in splits. Twitter was rolling on the floor laughing as he just about escaped ICC’s disciplinary action.

Hahaha!

Good player!

LOL!

What?
