Trent Rockets will face Manchester Originals in the 20th match of The Hundred Men’s 2025 season in Nottingham on Tuesday. The Rockets are currently second in the points table with 12 points from four games, while the Originals have played a game more and are placed fifth with eight points.

‌Trent Rockets will look to continue their unbeaten run at home in The Hundred Men’s 2025 season when they meet Manchester Originals at Trent Bridge in Nottingham on Tuesday. This will be the Rockets’ third game at the venue in this campaign after wins over Northern Superchargers and Southern Brave.

Opener Tom Banton (49) and wicketkeeper-batter Tom Moores (55) came good with the bat during the Rockets’ four-wicket win over Brave in their last game. Banton has also been their top run-getter this season with 175 runs from four games at an average of 43.75 and a strike rate of 142.27. Medium pacer Marcus Stoinis, who picked up two wickets in the game against Brave, tops the wicket charts for the Rockets with six scalps at an average of 13.16.

Meanwhile, the Originals also walk into the contest with a dominant 57-run win at home against the Superchargers. With the middle order of Jos Buttler, Rachin Ravindra and Heinrich Klaasen firing in unison in the game, the Manchester-based outfit overturned a slow start to their current Hundred campaign with two wins in the last three games.

Buttler has led the Originals’ batting display with 189 runs from five games at an average of 47.25 and a strike rate 136.95. England pacer Josh Tongue is their leading wicket-taker with nine wickets from three games at an astonishing average of 8.33 and a strike rate of 6.66 with Scott Currie picking up eight wickets in five games.

TR vs MO head-to-head in The Hundred

The Rockets look hot favourites in the match-up against Manchester Originals with four wins in five games with the Originals only win coming in the 2023 season. Both teams were involved in a thrilling contest last year with the Rockets pulling off a one-run win in a photo finish.

Pitch and Conditions

The Trent Bridge pitch is expected to be slow and dry with the teams batting first struggling to put runs on the board. The surface, however, will ease out during the second innings helping the batters to pace the chase accordingly. Unsurprisingly, the Rockets captain David Willey has opted to bowl in both previous matches before his side won comfortably in the chase on both occasions.

It will be a cool and cloudy evening in Nottingham with temperatures expected to be around the 13-degree mark. Though there is a cloud cover of 98%, the chances of rain are placed lowly at 11% with the viewers most-likely to get an uninterrupted game of cricket.

Team News

Both teams are unlikely to tinker with the winning combination from their respective previous games and are expected to start with the same eleven.

TR Expected XI

Tom Banton, Joe Root, Rehan Ahmed, Max Holden, Marcus Stoinis, Tom Moores (wk), David Willey (c), Calvin Harrison, Adam Hose, Lockie Ferguson, Callum Parkinson
