There are some iconic deliveries in the game of cricket that catch the batters by surprise and leave them dumbfounded at the crease. One such delivery was bowled by Keshava Maharaj who dismissed Marnus Labuschagne with a beauty in his very first delivery in the first ODI against Australia

‌ The South Africans had posted a competitive total of 296/8 on the board, and though the openers, Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh, did give them a great start, they started to falter with the introduction of spin. Keshav Maharaj was the bowler who caused a collapse and put the Aussies in a spot of bother discipline and wreaked havoc on the Aussie batters. The left-arm spinner claimed his first five-wicket haul in the format, which resulted in the  Aussies losing more than half of their side. While there were a lot of great deliveries in the spell that are worth watching on repeat , it is his first scalp that stole the show.
Maharaj was introduced in the ninth over of the game, and he struck gold on his first delivery of the match. It was Marnus Labuschagne who was the victim of the unplayable delivery, which caught him by surprise. The veteran spinner came around the wicket to the right-handed batter and angling it into Labuschagne. It was a flighted delivery which drifted into him and turned sharply from middle and leg stump to catch him plumb in front of his stumps. This was the beginning of terror for the Aussies as the dismissal was followed by a massive collapse, with Mitchell Marsh being the only batter keeping the innings together.
This was the delivery that started the Aussie fall
