Tamil Thalaivas coach admitted missing Pawan Sehrawat, as Manpreet Singh celebrated his 100th Pro Kabaddi coaching win.

As the Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 continued in Jaipur, defending champions Haryana Steelers edged past Tamil Thalaivas 38-36 to claim their sixth win of the season. With this result, the Steelers joined Puneri Paltan and Dabang Delhi at the top of the standings. Shivam Patare and Vijay combined for 16 points to guide Haryana to victory, while Arjun Deshwal’s spirited effort kept the Thalaivas close but not enough to seal the game.

After the match, Thalaivas assistant coach admitted the side is missing star raider Pawan Sehrawat, who parted ways mid-season, while Deshwal accepted that defensive lapses and late execution of a do-or-die raid cost them the match. The overreliance on Deshwal has been a recurring concern for the team. On the other side, Haryana head coach Manpreet Singh celebrated his landmark 100th Pro Kabaddi win, stating it felt special as he has won trophies both as a player and coach.

However, he acknowledged the team will greatly miss injured raider Naveen Kumar for the rest of the season. Singh also reflected on Pawan Sehrawat’s absence, noting that had he partnered with Deshwal, the contest could have been much tougher. The win reinforced Haryana’s status as a strong contender to defend its title.
