After being at loggerheads over many issues, the ICC have decided to present BCCI president Anurag Thakur the post of Chairman of the Development committee of the ICC. Thakur will now represent India in the governance, review, finance, commercial and audit committees of the ICC.

Following the conclusion of the Chief Executives meeting in Cape Town, the ICC presented Anurag Thakur the Chairmanship of the Development committee, which was earlier headed by former BCCI president Shashank Manohar, reported The Times of India.

The ICC has decided to give Thakur Chairmanship of the Development committee in consultation with its board of directors.

"There is no conflict of interest issue here. The ICC is also not pre-empting anything right now. The next course of action will be taken after the Supreme Court order,” sources said, reported TNN.

The Supreme Court is expected to deliver the order on October 17th in the BCCI-Lodha panel case two days after the Indian Board's SGM, scheduled on October 15th.

This move comes after the BCCI-ICC have fought over multiple issues that have seen the clout of the richest Board in the world threatened.
