Once an engineering student in Indore, Bhavani chose to leave his studies behind and dedicate himself fully to kabaddi, a decision that has paid rich dividends. Against Patna Pirates on September 1, he played a decisive role by scoring five crucial points that helped his team secure a 34-31 victory.

Last season, Bhavani registered a 44.67 percent success rate in raids, averaging 6.86 points across 22 matches, underlining his value as a strategic weapon in a star-studded raiding unit featuring Gagan Gowda, Surender Gill, and Guman Singh.
