With the Pro Kabaddi League showcasing defensive brilliance since its inception in 2014, Iranian star Fazel Atrachali stands as the all-time leader in tackle points with 545 from 188 matches. Atrachali, the first player to cross 500 tackle points, topped the charts in Seasons 4 and 7 while representing Patna Pirates and U Mumba, and achieved the milestone while playing for Bengal Warriorz in 2024.

Behind him is India’s Surjeet Singh, the highest-scoring Indian defender, with 443 points in 171 games. Nitesh Kumar, with 409 points in 150 matches, is the only player to record 100 tackle points in a single season, a feat accomplished in Season 6 for UP Yoddhas.

Other stalwarts include Manjeet Chhillar (391 points), Sunil Kumar (390), and Mohammadreza Shadloui, who has topped the season leaderboard three times and came close to Nitesh’s record with 99 points in Season 10. Historical season leaders include Ravinder Pahal (Season 2), Surender Nada (Season 5), and Ankush (Season 9).
