Being the highlight of the Champions League opening night, Juventus and Borussia Dortmund produced a breathtaking 4-4 draw in Turin, with all eight goals coming in the second half. After a cagey first half, Dortmund struck first in the 53rd minute when Karim Adeyemi’s long-range strike found the corner. Juventus responded through Kenan Yildiz in the 63rd minute, but Dortmund quickly regained the lead with Felix Nmecha’s strike two minutes later.
The rollercoaster continued as Dusan Vlahovic equalised in the 68th minute, calmly finishing past Gregor Kobel. Vlahovic netted his second in the 94th minute, and moments later turned provider with a cross that Kelly headed in for the equaliser in the 96th minute. Vlahovic, who finished with two goals and an assist, said after the match that his hunger for more remains, but the key was avoiding defeat.
