Gary Pallister backs patience with Ruben Amorim despite derby defeat

With the pressure mounting after Manchester United’s 3-0 defeat to Manchester City, head coach Ruben Amorim’s future has again come under scrutiny. Appointed as Erik ten Hag’s successor 10 months ago, Amorim has struggled to replicate his Sporting CP success, winning just eight of 31 Premier League games in charge, a meagre 26 percent win rate.

Despite the poor run, the Old Trafford hierarchy remains supportive, with no immediate plans to dismiss him. United legend Gary Pallister, who lifted four league titles under Sir Alex Ferguson, believes patience will be shown but warned that results must improve.
