Raheem Sterling has opted to remain at Chelsea until January despite being out of favour under Enzo Maresca. The 30-year-old, on £350,000 per week, rejected interest from Fulham, West Ham, and European clubs due to wage demands and his preference to stay in London. A future move to Turkey or Saudi Arabia remains possible.

When the summer transfer window closed, Raheem Sterling’s future at Chelsea remained unresolved despite strong efforts from the club to move him on. The 30-year-old winger, who is on a reported £350,000 per week, was seen as a prime candidate to be offloaded as new boss Enzo Maresca no longer considers him a key part of his plans. Sterling, however, rejected several potential moves abroad and within England, including interest from West Ham and Fulham, who were reluctant to meet his high wages. \

The player himself preferred to stay in London, which limited Chelsea’s options. Although transfer markets in Turkey and Saudi Arabia remain open, Sterling has now decided to stay at Stamford Bridge at least until January, even if it means limited playing time. Last season he spent time on loan at Arsenal, but this summer no official approaches materialised despite talks across Europe.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are also looking to move on defender Axel Disasi, with Saudi clubs still active until 23 September. Disasi had previously turned down moves to West Ham, Wolves, and Crystal Palace, while a proposed Bournemouth switch collapsed. Chelsea remain determined to reduce their squad size and wage bill as Maresca reshapes his team.
