Tottenham Hotspur have signed France striker Randal Kolo Muani on a season-long loan from PSG. The 26-year-old, who scored eight goals in 16 Serie A games on loan at Juventus last season, has also netted 26 in 50 for Frankfurt and earned 31 France caps. He becomes Spurs’ fourth summer signing as they bolster their attack amid Dominic Solanke’s injury concerns.
For the final hours of the summer transfer window, Tottenham Hotspur secured a season-long loan deal for Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani. The 26-year-old French striker had long been on the radar of Premier League clubs including Manchester United, Chelsea and West Ham, but Spurs moved quickly after agreeing personal terms. Kolo Muani, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Juventus and scored eight goals in 16 Serie A appearances, arrives as Tottenham’s fourth senior signing of the summer after Mohammed Kudus, Joao Palhinha and Xavi Simons.
The forward, capped 31 times by France and a scorer in the 2022 World Cup semi-final against Morocco, brings versatility and experience, having also won two Ligue 1 titles with PSG. Known for his pace, aerial ability and intelligent movement, Kolo Muani is viewed as a more technical option compared to Richarlison. His signing is particularly important given concerns over Dominic Solanke’s ankle injury, which left Spurs without a recognised centre-forward in their recent defeat to Bournemouth.
Manager Thomas Frank has stressed the importance of balance in the squad but welcomes the added depth as Spurs prepare for a Champions League campaign. Tottenham are also working to strengthen their defence before the deadline, with interest in Manchester City’s Manuel Akanji after missing out on Marc Guehi.
