After the final whistle at Signal Iduna Park, Juventus sealed a 2-1 friendly win over Borussia Dortmund, powered by Andrea Cambiaso’s clinical brace. Gleison Bremer returned to the starting XI for the first time since his knee surgery in October 2024, while Joao Mario made his full debut and picked up an early booking. Juventus struck first in the 16th minute when Pierre Kalulu’s right-wing cross found Cambiaso, who volleyed in from close range.
Dortmund’s veteran defender Mats Hummels was given an emotional farewell, leaving the field to applause after 18 minutes in his last appearance before retirement. The visitors doubled their lead in the 52nd minute through another Cambiaso strike, this time finishing sharply at the near post after a precise pass from Kenan Yildiz. Dortmund created chances, with Serge Guirassy’s header narrowly missing, but also lost Niklas Sule to injury.
Juventus had further opportunities through Filip Kostic and Tiago Djaló, yet failed to extend the lead. Dortmund’s persistence paid off in the 89th minute when Maximilian Beier turned Daniele Rugani and fired into the roof of the net from a tight angle. Despite the late strike, Juventus closed their pre-season with a morale-boosting away victory.
