Asia Cup | Twitter in splits as Suryakumar Yadav pulls Muhammad Waseem’s legs during toss

‌India looked all set to start their campaign in the Asia Cup T20 2025 against United Arab Emirates at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Wednesday. Suryakumar Yadav looked confident with his side’s preparation and readiness as he walked in for the toss along with his UAE counterpart Muhammad Waseem.

Surprisingly, the Mumbai Indians batter won the toss as Waseem called it wrong and India opted to bowl. SKY wanted to play it safe as India were playing the first game of the season and there was no match that took place at the venue in the recent past.

Just as he concluded his interaction with the broadcaster, the Indian captain did not forget to pull Waseem’s legs. He jokingly told him that, “I heard you telling earlier and you wanted to bat anyways”.

Waseem was caught off-guard as he fumbled before responding that he was standing behind only. Both captains shared a laugh, along with Sanjay Manjarekar, before Waseem proceeded for the post-toss talk.

Twitter was in splits as Suryakumar Yadav was at his witty best yet again ahead of the start of the match.
