Bengaluru Bulls have announced that their home matches for the fifth edition of the Pro-Kabaddi League will now be played at Nagpur’s Mankapur Indoor Stadium. The league starting 28th July has seen a last-minute change of venue due to the unavailability of Bengaluru's Kanteerva Stadium.

Bengaluru Bulls were scheduled to play in the city from August 4th - 10th, 2017. Unfortunately, the Department of Youth Empowerment and Services, that manages the stadium bookings, did not respond to their long-pending request for holding their home matches at the venue.

Expressing his disappointment, CEO of WL Sports League, Uday Sinh Wala said, “We are very disappointed to announce that Bengaluru Bulls will not be playing in their home turf this season. We have not yet received necessary permissions to host the matches on the required dates despite our incessant efforts.

Team Bengaluru Bulls will miss the privilege of performing in front of our home crowd and supporters, who have been an invaluable part of our journey. Given the lack of time remaining and the extent of work required to host this World-class event successfully in keeping with the standards of the League, the move had to be made despite our best intentions.”

To conduct and carry the legacy of Pro-Kabaddi League in a world-class manner, Bengaluru Bulls zeroed in on Nagpur’s Mankapur Indoor Stadium.

Uday Sinh Wala also added, “We shall come back next year and play on our home turf hopefully, keeping the excitement and thrill of the tournament intact. Despite not playing in Bengaluru this season, we look forward to the immeasurable support from all our fans which will help motivate the team and keep their morale high as we take a step forward in our journey in an effort to lift the Cup in this 5th season of the Pro- Kabaddi League”.
