Saudi club Al Ittihad are reportedly preparing a €60 million bid for Barcelona forward Ferran Torres after facing difficulties in signing FC Porto’s Rodrigo Mora. Despite Barcelona’s financial struggles and the appeal of such an offer, Torres has no plans to leave. Backed by Hansi Flick, he remains committed to Barcelona and European football.

When the Saudi Pro League side Al Ittihad turned their attention away from FC Porto’s Rodrigo Mora, Barcelona forward Ferran Torres quickly became their next big target. Reports suggest that the Saudi club is ready to table an offer worth around €60 million for the Spaniard, after Porto refused to lower their €75 million valuation of Mora. The potential deal would provide Barcelona with much-needed financial breathing space, given their ongoing salary cap struggles, which have already delayed player registrations.

Torres, however, has no intention of leaving Camp Nou and the 25-year-old has been in excellent form under new coach Hansi Flick, emerging as a vital figure in Barcelona’s attack and his versatility across multiple forward positions has silenced earlier critics, while his confidence and consistent performances have made him a regular starter and despite the lure of a lucrative salary in Saudi Arabia, Torres remains committed to European football, with a strong desire to compete in the Champions League.

Hansi Flick has also publicly emphasized Torres’ importance to his plans, seeing him as central to Barcelona’s attacking strategy and while Al Ittihad’s interest highlights the forward’s rising reputation, Torres is focused on continuing his strong run of form and contributing to Barcelona’s success in La Liga and Europe.
