Left-arm wrist spinners always tend to be tricky customers, and Kuldeep Yadav was too hot to handle against Pakistan during India’s Asia Cup T20 2025 match in Dubai. The left-arm spinner was all class as he picked up back-to-back wickets to break Pakistan’s back, reducing them to 64/6.

‌Pakistan had a horrific start after opting to bat in their Asia Cup T20 2025 match against India at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday. The Men in Green slipped to 6/2 within the second over with Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah striking in their first overs.

But Fakhar Zaman and Sahibzada Farhan repaired the Pakistan innings with some boundaries as they ended the powerplay at 42/2. But the introduction of spin swung the game back in India’s favour with Axar Patel striking twice in two overs.

Kuldeep hit the final nail in the coffin as the wrist spinner struck with back-to-back deliveries in his second over. He first packed off Hasan Nawaz, who went for the slog sweep off a flighted delivery that turned into him after pitching outside off stump, with Axar Patel making no mistake at short fine leg.

He then bamboozled new batter Mohammad Nawaz with a wrong one that turned into him and cramped him for room. The ball crashed into his pads after missing his willow completely as the umpire raised his hand instantaneously. The Delhi Capitals spinner was on a hat-trick as Pakistan were placed at 64/6.

He came close to picking up a hat-trick, but Faheem Ashraf carefully negotiated the last ball of the 13th over. Twitter was in awe of the wrist spinner’s mastery with the ball as he continued from where he left off in the last game against the UAE.
