Though the fans are used to witnessing blunders on the field, there are some rare moments where skippers have a brain-fade moment during the toss, which makes them chuckle. Suryakumar Yadav experienced one of these moments as he forgot the names of his players and made a reference to Rohit Sharma.

‌Though the fans are used to witnessing blunders on the field, there are some rare moments where skippers have a brain-fade moment during the toss, which makes them chuckle. Suryakumar Yadav experienced one of these moments as he forgot the names of his players and made a reference to Rohit Sharma.

The round robin stage of the Asia Cup is down to its final game, which will be played between India and Oman at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. It is India skipper Suryakumar Yadav who won the toss and chose to bat first. There were two changes made in the lineup, with Jasprit Bumrah and Varun Chakravarthy being rested in the game and making way for Harshit Rana and Arshdeep Singh, who will be playing their first game in the tournament. Though the match was yet to begin, Surya still managed to put a smile on the fans' faces with a brain fade moment after the toss.

As the 33-year-old middle-order batter was announcing the two changes, he forgot the names of his players after the toss and referred to Rohit Sharma straight after the blunder. What made the situation even more hilarious is that the Oman captain, Jatinder Singh, also forgot the names of his players while announcing the playing eleven.

“We are looking to bat first. We have not batted first in this competition, and we want to know our depth. Having game time is important going into the Super 4s. We want to continue the good habits we are doing in the first two games, and want to continue to do that. It is looking nice, and our openers will assess it further. We have two changes - Harshit comes in, one more guy comes in, I have become like Rohit (laughs),” Yadav said after the toss.

Sky pays tribute to the hitman.
