Meanwhile, Dubai Capitals' fortunes have nosedived after starting the season with a clinical win over Central Districts in the inaugural match of the season. The International League T20 side went on to lose their next two matches and is currently placed second from bottom with two points.
Rangpur all-rounder Kyle Mayers leads the overall run charts in GSL 2025 with 111 runs from two matches at a strike rate of 152.05 and is yet to be dismissed in the tournament. Dubai’s Sediqullah Atal is second on the list with a tally of 91 runs, averaging 30.33 and striking at 178.43.
The Bangladesh duo of Khaled Ahmed and Shakib Al Hasan are on top of the bowling pile for Rangpur and Dubai, respectively, in GSL 2025. It will be the first time that Rangpur Riders and Dubai Capitals face off against each other in a T20 contest.
The surface at Providence, Guyana, is expected to be on the slower side, with spinners getting good support from it. Incidentally, Dubai and Rangpur were the sides to do that with scores of 165 and 162, respectively, in the first two matches of GSL 2025.
It will be a cloudy day in Guyana with a couple of thunderstorms expected during the morning match. The temperatures are expected to be around 29 degrees with 81% chances of rain.
Rangpur are expected to retain the same side after winning their first two matches, while Rovman Powell is expected to feature for Dubai Capitals in place of Jesse Bootan.
