The last and final game of the three-match Test series will be played between West Indies and Australia at the Sabina Park in Jamaica starting from July 13. The encounter will be a day/night Test that will challenge both teams in this game. The Pat Cummins-led side will be looking to make it 3-0 at Kingston.
It has been a solid performance by visitors in the series, who have emerged victorious in both the low-scoring games. The bowling and batting have been complementing each other well within the Australian team. Though the top order has looked a little bit out of sorts, the likes of Alex Carey, Travis Head, and Beau Webster have made sure to score crucial runs in the middle order. Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc, and Nathan Lyon have also bowled terrific spells with the ball and are among the highest wicket takers as well. They will be looking to continue their consistent performance in the pink ball Test as well.
While the Aussies will be confident going into the game, the same cannot be said about the hosts, who, despite showing glimpses of great performances, have not been able to dominate the crucial moments of the game. While Jayden Seales, Alzarri and Shamar Joseph have looked in good form with the ball, the batting department has lacked a lot of consistency with only one 50+ score coming from Brandon King so far. Though there is no chance for Roston Chase and co to win the series, they will still want to make the most of this game and look to finish the series with a win.
Form Guide
WI vs AUS Head-to-Head in Tests
Pitch and Weather
The surface at Sabina Park in Kingston, Jamaica, is expected to be on the slower side. Though the pace bowlers might get a lot of assistance with the new ball, the wicket seems to get slower as the game progresses. In the last five games, the team batting first has won four games and the team batting second has only been victorious once. The teams have not crossed the 300-mark in the last 10 matches that have been played at the venue.
The weather updates at the venue do not look promising at all, with high chances of rain. The temperature is expected to be 32 degrees Celsius, and there is a chance of a thunderstorm as well. The players will be hoping that the weather stays clear and they have a game with a result.
Team News
The West Indies have already lost the series and can only get a consolation win in the upcoming Test. Though the Caribbean giants might not make a lot of changes within their batting order, they might bring left-arm spinner Jomel Warrican, who could be very effective on a slow surface at the Sabina Park.
Australia, on the other hand, will probably go unchanged, looking at how they have performed in the last two games. They are expected to back their players in the upcoming game and trust them to ensure a clean sweep.
WI Probable XI: Kraigg Brathwaite, John Campbell, Keacy Carty, Brandon King, Shai Hope (wk), Roston Chase (c), Justin Greaves, Jomel Warrican, Alzarri Joseph, Shamar Joseph, Jayden Seales.
AUS Probable XI: Usman Khawaja, Sam Konstas, Cameron Green, Steven Smith, Travis Head, Beau Webster, Alex Carey (wk), Pat Cummins (c), Mitchell Starc, Nathan Lyon, Josh Hazlewood.
