Curtis Campher’s stunning all-round performance helped the Munster Reds completely outmuscle the North-West Warriors in the 23rd match of the Inter-Provincial T20 Trophy 2025 in Ireland. The pacer made history by becoming the first-ever bowler to take five wickets in five consecutive deliveries.

The Munster Reds’ skipper, Curtis Campher, won the toss and decided to bat; the skipper ended up as the leading run-scorer for his side in the first innings, scoring 44 runs off just 24 balls, with two fours and four sixes, following Peter Moor’s 35 runs off just 16 balls, with two fours and three sixes. Besides these two, openers Swapnil Modgill and Stephen Doheny also scored 27 runs each off 26 and 21 balls. On the back of these knocks, the Reds managed to post a good total of 188/7 in the allotted 20 overs. Andy McBrine scalped three wickets for just 24 runs in his four overs for the Warriors in the first innings, alongside two wickets picked by Graham Hume. Apart from these two, Robbie Millar and Scott MacBeth also bagged a wicket each for their side in the first half of the game.

While chasing the target, the North-West Warriors were bundled out at the score of just 88 runs in 13.3 overs. What became the highlight of the second innings and the entire game was the stunning five wickets in five balls performance of the Reds’ skipper. Campher completely ran through the batting lineup of the Warriors, dismantling their entire lower-middle order and the tailenders. Campher’s carnage on the Warriors’ batters started on the fifth ball of the 12th over when he clean bowled Jared Wilson, followed by trapping Graham Hume LBW.

Campher ended the 12th over of the innings with two wickets in the last two balls of the over. Later, he came back to the action in the 14th over of the second innings. The Reds’ skipper started the over by dismissing Andy McBrine on the first delivery of the over and also completing his hat-trick. Furthermore, he continued torturing the Warriors’ batters by making it four-in-four on the next ball before claiming his fifth wicket on the fifth consecutive ball by dismissing Josh Wilson on the third ball of the over. With this wicket, the Warriors were all out at the score of 88 runs, and the Reds won this game by a massive margin of 100 runs.

Curtis Campher won the Player of the Match award for his outstanding all-round performance, scoring 44 runs in the first innings with the bat, followed by a historic five-wicket haul of five wickets for just 16 runs in 2.3 overs. Twitter was also in awe of Campher for his once-in-a-while outstanding achievement in the men’s professional game. Fans came up with a lot of reactions while praising the star Irish all-rounder.
