SRH vs MI | Twitter erupts with pumped-up Hardik as Boult removes big fish Travis Head

Celebrations after the fall of wickets are quite common in cricket, but when a dangerous player leaves the field without creating much impact, even the captain is chuffed. Hardik Pandya couldn’t ask for more as he ran around in ecstasy after Travis Head’s dismissal off Trent Boult.

‌Just as discussions about going past the 300-run mark were making their way to the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Wednesday, Mumbai Indians walked in to stop the all-guns blazing Sunrisers Hyderabad batting attack. With three consecutive wins behind them, Hardik Pandya opted to bowl against the hosts, trusting his new-ball duo to halt the orange army.

With Deepak Chahar conceding only two runs in the first over, Trent Boult came into bowl the second with Head taking strike. After a dot ball first up, the left-arm pacer pitched the ball on a length around the off-stump and moved the white rock to swing a tad bit away from the left-handed batter.  Head, searching for room to free his hands and score the team’s first boundary, tried to go big and swung his willow. Naman Dhir, stationed at deep point, pouched the mistimed shot gleefully, and Hardik was all smiles as he came rushing to Boult to celebrate the dismissal. There is nothing more than seeing a well-set plan work, as Twitter joined in to extend the celebrations.

He chokes again!
