RR vs LSG | Twitter reacts to Pant's test innings as Jurel brings his curtains down with juggling catch

T20 cricket has certainly benefited batters with explosive innings, but some batters simply fail to score and struggle badly. Lucknow captain Rishabh Pant had his chances this IPL, and against RR, the story was similar as he fell cheaply, courtesy of Dhruv Jurel’s sharp juggling catch.

‌Lucknow skipper Rishabh Pant won the toss and chose to bat first. The move didn’t pay off as opener Mitchell Marsh was removed in the third over by Jofra Archer. The troubles continued when key batter Nicholas Pooran fell to Sandeep Sharma in the sixth over. With Pant and Aiden Markram at the crease, Lucknow reached 51/2 in seven overs. But the struggle continued as Wanindu Hasaranga struck in the eighth over, aided by a sharp catch from Jurel.

On the fourth ball of the eighth over, Hasaranga bowled a good-length delivery outside off stump. The Lucknow skipper attempted a reverse hit, but the ball skidded on with little turn, brushing the shoulder of the bat on its way to Dhruv Jurel. The Rajasthan keeper juggled it a couple of times before safely pouching it. A disappointed Pant walked off after managing just three runs off nine balls. The Twitterverse too reacted to Pant’s rough patch and praised Jurel’s impressive catch.
