The comeback story is one of the most inspiring narratives in sports, but it can also be marred by the harsh reality of reinjury. Once more, the spotlight falls on Mayank Yadav as he exits the field mid-game raising fresh concerns about his injury status during the Lucknow versus Mumbai game.

‌Lucknow Super Giants took control early on after winning the toss rattling Mumbai Indians' top order with the likes of Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, and Hardik Pandya departing within the powerplay. However, Nehal Wadhera and Ishan Kishan steadied the ship with a 53-run partnership bringing the score to 73/4 in 13 overs. Unfortunately, with Kishan's dismissal, Wadhera followed suit in the 18th over just as Mohammad Nabi stepped into bat. Yet, Nabi's innings was short-lived as he fell victim to Mayank Yadav's bowling, raising concerns as Yadav himself walked off the field due to an apparent injury.

In the 19th over, Mayank Yadav delivered a precise length ball aimed at the middle stump, catching Nabi off guard and sending the Afghan all-rounder back to the pavilion. As Gerald Coetzee replaced Nabi, Yadav's discomfort was evident as he sought assistance from the physio while heading towards the pavilion.

Mayank Yadav's return to the field after missing five games for his franchise was marred by his premature departure, having bowled only 3.1 overs and claiming one wicket before succumbing to yet another injury concern. Twitter users swiftly reacted to Yadav's setback, sparking discussions across social media platforms.
