Left-arm spinner Axar Patel has reached a career-best ninth position in the newly released ICC rankings for bowlers in One-day Internationals. Man of the series Amit Mishra has also jumped 25 places in the rankings to be ranked as 12th alongside Dale Steyn.

Despite picking only four wickets in the series against New Zealand, Axar Patel got a promotion of five places to enter the top-ten chart for the first time in his career. The Gujarat all-rounder was successful in containing the flow of runs in the middle overs to keep the Kiwis at bay in the recently concluded series.

Haryana leg-spinner Amit Mishra who picked a total of 15 wickets in the one-day series, was promoted to 12th position to be placed alongside South African great Dale Steyn.

New Zealand strike bowler Trent Boult has retained his spot at the top of the chart followed by Caribbean spinner Sunil Narine and South African leggie Imran Tahir.

In batting, AB de Villiers is placed at the top followed by Virat Kohli.
