When the Bengaluru Bulls faced Haryana Steelers at the Vishwanadh Sports Club in Vizag on Monday, they delivered a thrilling performance to secure a 40-33 win. Alireza Mirzaian led the charge, scoring his second consecutive Super 10 and playing a key role in turning the match in the Bulls’ favor. Shivam Patare gave the Steelers an early lead with a successful raid, but the Bulls quickly responded, inflicting the fastest ALL OUT of the season at 4:20 minutes and taking a 9-2 advantage within five minutes.
Mayank Saini tried to keep the Steelers in contention with a Super Raid, scoring six of their first eight points, but Bengaluru maintained control and led 13-8 at the first Time Out. The first half ended with the Bulls narrowly ahead at 21-18, thanks to solid raiding from Alireza and disciplined defense. In the second half, Aashish Malik added a raid point while skipper Yogesh executed a sharp tackle to extend the lead.
Haryana’s Jaya Soorya responded with a Super Raid, but Alireza’s decisive raids inflicted another ALL OUT, pushing the score to 31-23 and completing his Super 10. Strong defensive efforts from Yogesh and Deepak Sankar helped the Bulls hold off the Steelers’ comeback attempts, ultimately sealing a 40-33 victory.
