The Giants secured him at the auction for a record ₹2.23 crore, making him the most expensive defender of the season. Gujarat clinched the deal. Shadloui, who debuted in PKL 8 with Patna Pirates, went on to play for Puneri Paltan in Season 10, winning the title, and for Haryana Steelers in PKL 11, where he again lifted the trophy. In PKL 11, he was named MVP after scoring 139 points in 24 matches, including the most tackle points (82) and most successful tackles (78).

Across his PKL career, he has 448 points (94 raids, 354 tackles) in 92 matches, with 19 Super Tackles, 32 High 5s, and 4 Super Raids. Gujarat Giants, who had a disappointing 2024 season with only five wins from 22 games and a score difference of -152, will begin their campaign against U Mumba on August 30 in Vizag, aiming for a strong comeback with Shadloui bolstering their defensive unit.
