When the 2025-26 season kicks off, Robert Lewandowski is confident that Barcelona will be stronger than ever. The Polish striker, who scored 40 goals across all competitions in 2024-25, praised the team’s attacking evolution under coach Hansi Flick. Barcelona netted an astonishing 174 goals last season, the highest in Europe and the third-best in the club’s history. Lewandowski believes that now, with a year of familiarity under Flick’s leadership, the players are more aligned in their approach.
A key addition to Barcelona’s squad is Marcus Rashford, whom Lewandowski described as a “massively talented” forward capable of covering multiple roles in a long season. Reflecting on Rashford’s past performances for Manchester United, Lewandowski expressed optimism that the Englishman would add depth and versatility to the Catalan attack.
Lewandowski also had high praise for Lamine Yamal, now wearing the number 10 shirt. Calling him more mature at 18, Lewandowski believes Yamal will outperform last season thanks to his natural progression and increased experience. With a reinforced squad and high ambitions, Barcelona’s goal remains clear: to challenge for major titles once again. According to their star striker, this side is ready to take another step forward.
