Arsenal Close in on €80m Deal for Viktor Gyokeres

Just as the summer transfer window intensifies, Arsenal appear to be closing in on a major signing with Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres. After weeks of negotiations, the Gunners have reportedly scheduled a medical in London this weekend, confident of completing an €80 million deal, including bonuses. Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Gyokeres has made his intentions clear as he only wants to join Arsenal, turning down higher offers from Saudi clubs. The Swedish striker has already agreed to a five-year contract running until 2030 and has stopped training with Sporting, signaling his readiness to depart. Gyokeres would join an active transfer window for Arsenal, who have already signed Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi, and Christian Norgaard, with deals for Noni Madueke and Cristhian Mosquera also nearing completion.
