Harry Kane has been nominated for the 2025 Ballon d'Or after scoring 41 goals in 51 games and winning the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich. Despite strong numbers, he is not among the top favourites, with PSG’s Ousmane Dembele leading the race after a 35-goal, 16-assist season that helped secure a historic quadruple.

After the announcement of the 2025 Ballon d'Or nominees, Harry Kane made a confident claim about his chances of winning the award. The England and Bayern Munich striker is among the 30-player shortlist after scoring 41 goals in 51 games last season and helping Bayern win the Bundesliga. This marks Kane’s fifth nomination, with his best finish being 10th in 2024.

Speaking earlier in the year, Kane expressed belief that playing for a top club like Bayern has given him more respect and visibility on the global stage, improving his chances of finally winning the Ballon d'Or. Despite his achievements, Kane is not among the favourites to win. Paris Saint-Germain’s Ousmane Dembele leads the race after a brilliant season, where he scored 35 goals and assisted 16 across 53 games, helping PSG win a historic quadruple.

Young star Lamine Yamal is also a top contender, alongside Mohamed Salah, Raphinha, and Vitinha. Some of the other notable nominees include Jude Bellingham, Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Jr, and Declan Rice. Kane believes his performances are finally getting the recognition they deserve, but with intense competition and standout seasons from others, his Ballon d'Or dream may still remain just out of reach.
