Polish legend Jan Tomaszewski has advised Robert Lewandowski to leave Barcelona, claiming he's not very popular and underused by teammates. Despite scoring 42 goals last season and helping Barca win a domestic double, Tomaszewski suggests the 36-year-old should join a lighter Saudi club, like many global stars have done.

Coming to the latest buzz around Robert Lewandowski, the veteran striker has been urged by Polish football legend Jan Tomaszewski to leave Barcelona and consider a move to Saudi Arabia. Tomaszewski claims that Lewandowski, despite his goal-scoring heroics, is “not very popular” within the Barcelona squad and is being overlooked by teammates on the pitch.

He stated that the 36-year-old should end his time at the Catalan club and join a “lighter” Saudi Pro League side, as many other global stars have done, except Lionel Messi. This comes despite Lewandowski’s phenomenal form last season, where he scored 42 goals and played a key role in Barcelona winning both La Liga and the Copa del Rey.

The Polish forward, who turns 37 later this month, has shown no intention of slowing down or leaving the club. Barcelona, currently in pre-season, are set to play South Korean side Daegu on Monday, followed by a fixture against Como on August 11. While Tomaszewski’s comments have stirred conversation, Lewandowski’s stats and fitness still reflect a striker at the top of his game.
