SportsCafe Desk

There have been some huge controversies that have been surrounding the five match-series between India and England that have made the headlines. The stories start to spread after a viral clip of India head coach Gautam Gambhir’s animated conversation with the groundstaff ahead of final Test.

‌The last Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy is set to be played at the Oval on August 31, with the series being led 2-1 by the England team. The last Test at Old Trafford witnessed one of the biggest saves by the Indian team in Test cricket, as they went on to draw the Test match even after being dominated by the England team in the first innings of the match. This gave the Shubman Gill-led side to draw the five-match series in a must-win game in London. The fourth Test also experienced some drama between the two teams, which also included Ben Stokes' controversial handshake snub, where the Indian batters Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar refused to end the game as they were nearing their centuries. However, there are still some controversies that are surrounding the series ahead of the fifth and final Test.

The visitors have already reached and have started their net sessions on the ground. While everyone was putting in the hard yards, a clip of India head coach Gautam Gambhir and batting coach Sitanshu Kotak were seen having an animated conversation with the ground staff has gone viral. While the words shared between the three individuals were not clear, Gambhir and Kotak seemed to be making gestures towards the ground and the surface. The reactions from Gambhir did not seem pleasant as he continued to make aggressive gestures towards the manager while Kotak tried to calm the situation in the middle.
