ENG-W vs IND-W | Twitter in shock after Smith’s scary head accident on field

Accidents on the cricket field can have unpredictable consequences and cause some serious damage to the players. English cricketer Linsey Smith had one such scare against India at Lord's on Saturday in the second ODI when she collapsed while fielding but fortunately survived unscathed.
The second ODI between India Women and England Women was shortened to 29 overs due to rain. It is the hosts who won the toss to bowl first, and put the visitors under pressure straight away. The visitors struggled to score runs and lost two wickets cheaply within 10 overs, laving it up to Smriti Mandhana and skipper Harmanpreet Kaur to form an important partnership. However, apart from a couple missed chances, the Three Lionesses were quite solid in the field and seemed to be putting their bodies on the line to make sure the runs were not easy to come by for the Women in Blue. While the commitment was appreicable, it nearly led to a gruesome accident in in the 11th over of the match bowled by Charlie Dean.
The fielder in question was Linsey Smith, who was stationed at extra cover. Kaur nudged the ball through the gap in the third ball of the over and sprinted for a single. Even though the Kookaburra had already crossed Smith, she still attempted a despairing dive in an attempt to save a run. However, not only did Smith fail in her effort to chase the ball down but also bumped her head into the ground as she flopped to the deck. The 30-year-old struggled to get up thereafter, causing English skipper Nat Sciver-Brunt to rush to the scene along side the physio and offer help.
Thankfully, there was no severe damage to Smith after the incident.

Disappointing start!
Dean Dropped a dolly. That would’ve been 3rd caught & bowl from the Indian batters . Very disappointing batting performance this

Yeah!
Why Richa Ghosh is trying all these things , when she can play straight forward shots cleanly.

5 down!
Sorry but has Richa forgotten to bat? Seems too uneasy, too fidgety on the crease. That ball from Ecclestone came straight in and she couldn't play it properly. Is LBW.
