Later in the innings, the veteran batter Kane Williamson took charge of the Spirit’s run chase with a calm approach, playing a match-winning knock of 36 runs off 28 balls, hitting three fours and a six. He also stitched the crucial partnerships with the middle-order batters, Ollie Pope (12) and Ashton Turner (18). Sean Dickson’s unbeaten nine runs off six balls, following the earlier contributions, helped the Spirit to successfully chase the target, scoring 171/5 in 98 balls.
