Twitter in splits as DRS cut shorts over confident Krunal Pandya's concussion test

Marco Jansen claiming Krunal Pandya's wicket

‌The introduction of DRS has seen cricketers play the cat and mouse game trying to get an upper hand in the game. Krunal Pandya, though, appears to have not understood the rules as he confidently went about his concussion test, citing ignorance, when he had clearly edged the ball.

After a significant amount of delay due to the famous Bengaluru rains, RCB got off to a horrid start with Phil Salt and Virat Kohli back in the hut even before three overs were completed. Liam Livingstone and Jitesh Sharma did not last too long either as RCB found themselves struggling at 32/4. Instead of opting in for the impact sub, RCB decided to promote Krunal Pandya up the order.

On the first ball of the seventh over, though, RCB appeared to be heading in the wrong direction again. Marco Jansen banged in a short delivery to Pandya, who tried to pull the delivery. The ball appeared to have come off the helmet as Jansen followed up the ball with the catch as well. Jansen seemed confident and was adamant that there had been two noises. As Krunal walked away, Punjab opted for the review. Instead of admitting that he had nicked it, Krunal confidently told his captain that he had not touched it.

UltraEdge, though, showed a proper spike which led to Krunal walking off. Twitter were quick to spot the incident and flood the network with their feelings.
