India vs Australia | Biggest thing for us right now is to win Test series, says Ishant Sharma

Ishant Sharma has revealed that Virat Kohli & Co. have only one thing on their mind - A series win, as they gear up to face Australia in a four-match saga which is slated to begin on December 6 in Adelaide. He said that the visitors will not be taking the Australians lightly until they get results.

Team India ended their T20I series on a positive note as they won the third and final match to draw the series 1-1 and prevent a loss in the opening phase of their tour of Australia. That must have been a much-needed morale booster ahead of the crucial four-match Test series which is scheduled to start on December 6 in Adelaide.
And veteran Indian pacer, Ishant Sharma, revealed that Virat Kohli & Co. are extremely focused on putting in a good performance on Australian soil. Sharma added that the Men in Blue will definitely be aiming to win the series against Tim Paine & Co.
“The tour game is pretty serious for us because you can set a tone [for the series]. You get to know the conditions because you’re playing here after a long time. It’s a pretty important game for everyone.
“We are pretty motivated,” he told reporters. “The biggest thing for us right now is to win the series. That’s what everybody is focussing on. We’re not even thinking about individual performances. We have just one aim – to win a series in Australia,” Sharma told reporters.
The Cricket Australia XI will play India in a four-day match in Sydney which will start on Wednesday before the opening Test match in Adelaide. Ishant, who has previously toured Australia on three occasions since he was 19, has not had too much team success Down under.
“I think I have played for 11 years now so I don’t need to think that I need to [prove myself]. I am not really the kind of person who thinks about what happened in the past. I am always looking forward to the future. I am looking forward to doing well on this tour,” Sharma added.
