Matthew Wade: Marcus Stoinis’ bowling has improved over the last few years


Australian wicketkeeper Matthew Wade feels that Victoria all-rounder Marcus Stoinis’ improved ability with the ball has earned him a berth in the Test side, in the place of injured Mitchell Marsh. Wade, who is also Stoinis’ state captain, has added that the latter can bat anywhere in the order.

Wade said, “Batting at No.3 in Shield cricket has placed him in a really good spot to play an all-round role for Australia. He can bat anywhere in the order. But the last couple of years we’ve seen improvements from his bowling. “Australia A (in 2015) he bowled really, really well, took the pace off,” reported The Indian Express.
