Tamil Thalaivas skipper and Indian kabaddi captain Pawan Sehrawat was sent home for disciplinary reasons after playing just three matches in PKL Season 12. The 29-year-old, bought for Rs 59.5 lakh, missed the fourth game against Bengal Warriorz. Thalaivas, led by stand-in captain Arjun Deshwal, returned to winning ways and currently sit seventh with two wins and two losses.

During the ongoing 12th season of the Pro Kabaddi League, Tamil Thalaivas captain and Indian kabaddi team leader Pawan Sehrawat was sent home midway through the tournament due to disciplinary reasons. Sehrawat, 29, had played the first three matches for the franchise, winning only one and losing two.

He was left out of the fourth game against Bengal Warriorz in Jaipur, and the team confirmed his release from the squad, citing adherence to the franchise’s code of conduct, without disclosing the exact reason for the disciplinary action. Sehrawat had recently joined the Thalaivas after a stint with the Telugu Titans and was bought back for Rs 59.5 Lakh. Previously, he had played a single game for the Thalaivas before an injury sidelined him for the rest of that season.

Despite Sehrawat’s absence, the Thalaivas showed resilience under stand-in captain Arjun Deshwal, who scored 17 points in the match against the Warriorz, helping the team return to winning ways. With two wins and two losses, Tamil Thalaivas currently occupy the seventh spot on the points table. The team demonstrated sufficient bench strength to continue competing effectively in the early stages of the tournament despite losing the experience and talent of Sehrawat.
