Defending champions Haryana Steelers have started pre-season training at the Inspire Institute of Sport in Karnataka ahead of Pro Kabaddi League Season 12. Guided by coach Manpreet Singh, captain Jaideep Dahiya leads the squad alongside new recruit Naveen Kumar, signed for ₹1.20 crore, who brings 1,100-plus raid points and two MVP titles to strengthen the team’s title defense.
After the triumph of winning their maiden Pro Kabaddi League title last season, the Haryana Steelers have begun preparations for Season 12 with an intense pre-season training camp at the Inspire Institute of Sport in Bannihatti, Karnataka. Head Coach Manpreet Singh, the mastermind behind their historic championship run, is leading the sessions with a focus on fine-tuning both raiding and defensive strategies.
Captain Jaideep Dahiya continues to marshal the team, while Vice Captain Rahul Sethpal sharpens his defensive moves. A major highlight for the Steelers this season is the addition of star raider Naveen Kumar, acquired for ₹1.20 crore at the PKL 12 Player Auction. Naveen, who boasts more than 1,100 raid points and back-to-back MVP awards in Seasons 7 and 8, is expected to bolster the team’s attacking strength.
Alongside him, players like Vishal Tate, Vinay Tevathia, and the core group are working hard on fitness and tactical drills to ensure consistency throughout the long season. With a balanced mix of experienced campaigners and new energy, the Steelers appear determined to defend their crown and establish themselves as a dominant force once again in the upcoming Pro Kabaddi League season.
