WATCH | Ajay Kumar single-handedly wipes out Bengal Warriors in a do-or-die raid

The Pro Kabaddi League was at its entertaining best when two of the best teams in the competition so far took on each other in Nagpur. Both Bengaluru Bulls and Bengal Warriors have been sensational so far in the League and it was evident in the see-saw battle between the two.

With the match evenly poised at 16-16 and 13 minutes to go until the end of the game, the game seemed to be headed for yet another thriller that would enthral the audience. However, Ajay Kumar had other ideas as he accepted the responsibility of raiding the opponents half in a do-or-die raid.

The 23-year old started the raid by swinging from left to right as he looked for an opening to pounce and it soon arrived when Srikanth Tewathia tried to put an ankle hold on him. However, the agile Kumar used a Frog jump to perfection to escape Tewathia's hold, but support soon arrived from the right cover in Ran Singh and Rahul Kumar who tried to hold Kumar down.

But even three players weren't enough to pin down the Bengaluru raider to the mat and Maninder Singh tried to offer help but failed as Kumar wriggled through their collective grip and tapped the halfway line to complete a sensational super raid that fetched his side four points and tilted the game in their favour.

From then on, the Warriors found it difficult to claw back into the game as Kumar's super raid paved the way for a Bengal all-out. Finally, Kumar ended his night with eight raid points which helped the Bulls clinch a victory and rise to the top of the Zone B table with 19 points to their name.
