India were expected to start their defence of the Kabaddi World Cup against South Korea with an easy win but succumbed to a shock defeat to the East-Asian nation. Following the early shocker, the Anup Kumar-led India will look to shake off the defeat by winning against Australia on Saturday at 9 PM local time, at the TransStadia, Ahmedabad.

India started with the duo of Anup Kumar and Jasvir Singh to score most points out of the do-or-die raids, but the decision to field similar players backfired miserably as Jasvir Singh accounted for zero points from six raids. Despite being one of the best defenders in the world, After Mohit Chhillar failing to register even one successful tackle, it is expected that the team will go with the combination of Rahul Chaudhari and Sandeep Narwal as its main defenders against Australia. For India's Saturday opponents, Australia, things look totally unpredictable as this is their first ever Kabaddi World Cup. But, the Aussies are being coached by Navneet Gautam, a former Jaipur Pink Panthers player, makes them totally unpredictable.
