Barcelona are negotiating with Spotify to extend their shirt sponsorship beyond 2026. The current deal gives Barça €57.5m for shirt rights and €5m for training kit annually. If extended until 2030, Barcelona could earn €65m yearly for shirts and €15m for training kits, boosting revenue by €17.5m per year. Spotify also holds Camp Nou naming rights.
As the negotiations between Barcelona and Spotify progress, the Catalan club appears set to secure a significant financial boost from their primary shirt sponsor. The current deal, which is due to expire at the end of the 2025-26 season, guarantees Barcelona €57.5 million annually for the front of their shirt and €5 million for their training kit. While the training kit agreement technically expired this past summer, Spotify branding continues to feature.
According to reports, Spotify has already informed Barcelona of its intention to extend the agreement, as per a clause that required notification before June. If activated, the extension would run until the 2029-30 season and substantially improve the club’s earnings. The revised terms would increase Barcelona’s shirt sponsorship to €65 million per year, while training kit rights would rise to €10 million for the front and €5 million for the back, making a total of €15 million annually.
Altogether, this represents a potential uplift of €17.5 million per season. This news arrives at a time when Barcelona faces scrutiny over the ongoing Camp Nou renovations. Notably, the naming rights contract with Spotify allows the company to withdraw if the stadium is not completed by 2028, underlining the importance of timely progress on the project.
