Manchester United have reportedly agreed a loan deal with Turkish side Eyüpspor for Tyrell Malacia. Signed from Feyenoord in 2022 for £13m, the 26-year-old has managed just 47 appearances, mostly in his debut season. After a loan at PSV and being sidelined from first-team training, he now looks set to depart before Turkey’s window closes on September 12.

Going to the final days of the Turkish transfer window, Manchester United are close to offloading left back Tyrell Malacia after reaching an agreement with Eyüpspor for a loan move. The Dutch defender, signed from Feyenoord in 2022 for around £13 million, has struggled for game time at Old Trafford. He has managed just 47 appearances in total, most of which came during his debut season under Erik ten Hag.

Last season he featured only four times before being loaned to PSV in the Eredivisie for the second half of the campaign. On his return to Manchester, Malacia was among five players asked to train separately from the main squad, a group that also included Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Jadon Sancho. While those players all secured exits before the Premier League deadline, Malacia’s proposed switch to La Liga side Elche collapsed late due to issues over a permanent clause.

With the Super Lig window open until September 12, United and Eyüpspor are now waiting on final approval to complete the deal. Meanwhile, goalkeeper Andre Onana is set to join Trabzonspor on loan after failing to impress new manager Ruben Amorim, marking another high-profile departure from Old Trafford.
