After being the center of attention due to Juventus' managerial change, Igor Tudor marked his return with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Genoa. The club replaced Thiago Motta after back-to-back defeats jeopardized their top-four hopes. Fans welcomed Tudor, who played 174 games for Juventus between 1998 and 2007, with a banner reading “Welcome Home” in the Curva Sud.

Tudor introduced a tactical shift, moving away from Motta’s 4-2-3-1 system to a 3-4-2-1 formation. This change saw Dušan Vlahović return to the starting XI, while Kenan Yildiz and Teun Koopmeiners played in more attacking roles. The decisive moment came when Tudor, unexpectedly, assisted in a quick throw-in, leading to Yildiz scoring his first goal in over two months. Juventus controlled the match, with Vlahović, Pierre Kalulu, and captain Manuel Locatelli testing Genoa’s goalkeeper Nicola Leali.

After the match, Tudor expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance, acknowledging the limited time he had for tactical adjustments. He emphasized the importance of the upcoming training sessions before their next tough test against AS Roma. Juventus’ new era under Tudor began positively, but tougher challenges lie ahead as they push for a strong Serie A finish.
