Juventus is reportedly planning to promote club legend Giorgio Chiellini to a key managerial role for the 2025–26 season. Currently Head of Football Institutional Relations, Chiellini may become the club General Manager to work alongside Sporting Director Cristiano Giuntoli. With Juventus earning €17 million in their latest balance sheet but struggling on the pitch, Chiellini leadership could help restore stability.

In the wake of a challenging season, Juventus is considering a new role for club legend Giorgio Chiellini to work closely with sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli and the first team. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Chiellini, who returned in September 2024 as Head of Football Institutional Relations, could be promoted to General Manager for the 2025–26 season, though his exact role remains undecided.

Juventus has undergone major changes since January 2023, with Gianluca Ferrero replacing Andrea Agnelli as President and Maurizio Scanavino becoming CEO. Giuntoli was later appointed sporting director to improve financial stability while maintaining the club’s competitive edge. Juventus recently reported €17 million in earnings over six months, but fans remain frustrated over the lack of strong leadership within the team.

With nine Serie A titles to his name, Chiellini is seen as a figure who can instill Juventus’ identity and provide motivation during tough times. His potential new role could bridge the gap between management and the squad, reinforcing team spirit amid mounting pressure on coach Thiago Motta. Juventus hopes that Chiellini’s leadership can help guide the club back to its former glory.
