For the second consecutive matchweek, English Premier League attendances have shown a slight decline, with Matchweek 27 averaging 97.49% capacity across ten fixtures. This marks a drop from the season-long average of 98%, continuing a downward trend that began in mid-February. Midweek scheduling appears to be a significant factor, as Wolverhampton Wanderers became the first club this season to fall below 90% attendance, likely due to a combination of poor form and an inconvenient Wednesday night kickoff.

Other clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur, Brighton & Hove Albion, and Crystal Palace, also recorded lower-than-usual crowds. Crystal Palace’s attendance was particularly surprising given their strong recent form, which included a dominant 4-1 victory over Aston Villa.

However, some clubs continued to attract near-full capacity. West Ham United led with an impressive 99.93% attendance, alongside Nottingham Forest, Manchester United, and Brentford, all of whom remained in the 99% range. Manchester United once again drew the highest crowd of the week, with 73,827 fans watching their 2-1 victory over Ipswich Town.
