Manchester City are reportedly ready to pay a British-record £126.1m to re-sign Cole Palmer from Chelsea. The 23-year-old ex-City academy graduate impressed last season with 15 goals and 12 assists, helping Chelsea win the Conference League and Club World Cup. Despite Pep Guardiola’s interest, Palmer remains committed to Chelsea under manager Enzo Maresca.

During the summer transfer window, Manchester City are reportedly preparing a sensational move to re-sign Cole Palmer from Chelsea, just two years after selling him for £45 million. Palmer, now 23, has flourished at Stamford Bridge, scoring 27 goals and providing 15 assists in 48 games during his debut season, earning both the PFA and Premier League Young Player of the Season awards.

Last season, he tallied 15 goals and 12 assists in 46 appearances, helping Chelsea win the UEFA Conference League and secure Champions League qualification with a fourth-place league finish. Palmer’s standout moment came in the Club World Cup final, where he scored twice and assisted once in Chelsea’s 3-0 win over PSG, solidifying his status as a key figure in Enzo Maresca’s plans. Despite Palmer being under contract until 2033, Pep Guardiola remains a strong admirer and is reportedly "determined" to bring him back to the Etihad.

Manchester City are allegedly willing to offer a British-record £126.1 million to seal the deal, surpassing Liverpool’s recent £116 million signing of Florian Wirtz. While Palmer has expressed his commitment to Chelsea’s project, City believe his return could elevate their squad further following Kevin De Bruyne’s departure and the recent signing of Rayan Cherki.
