Arsenal is leading the race to sign Rosenborg 18-year-old playmaker Sverre Nypan, offering him a five-year deal. The transfer fee could reach €15 million, surpassing Rosenborg record sale of €8.5 million. Despite interest from Liverpool, Tottenham, and Aston Villa, Nypan prefers Arsenal, influenced by Martin Ødegaard. A final decision is expected soon.

Ahead in the race to sign 18-year-old Norwegian playmaker Sverre Nypan, Arsenal has outpaced rivals Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, and Aston Villa. The Gunners have already agreed to personal terms with the Rosenborg midfielder, offering a five-year contract and a clear development plan under Mikel Arteta.

Although Tottenham and Aston Villa presented appealing career paths, Nypan is reportedly drawn to Arsenal, influenced by fellow Norwegian and club captain Martin Ødegaard. Arsenal is also the only club to have submitted a concrete bid, with an offer potentially reaching €15 million—significantly higher than Rosenborg's previous record sale of €8.5 million for John Carew to Valencia in 2000.

Nypan’s Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) is €14.7 million, aligning closely with Arsenal’s bid. His transfer decision is expected soon, as his camp prefers a swift resolution. Nypan’s father emphasized the importance of stability and a long-term project rather than a prolonged transfer saga.

Having not played since December, Nypan aims to be in peak form when he joins his next club in the summer. With Arsenal leading negotiations, the talented midfielder is expected to become a key part of their first-team squad next season.
