Nottingham Forest have agreed a £37.5m deal for Ipswich winger Omari Hutchinson and nearly £30m for Manchester City midfielder James McAtee, including a sell-on and buy-back clause. The Euro 2025 Under-21 winners join as Forest also chase Rennes striker Arnaud Kalimuendo, with total spending for the three signings expected to reach £90m.

After the rejection of a £35m bid for Ipswich Town winger Omari Hutchinson, Nottingham Forest have now agreed a £37.5m deal for the 21-year-old, along with a near £30m move for Manchester City midfielder James McAtee. The McAtee transfer, which includes sell-on and buy-back clauses, ends Forest’s long pursuit of the England Under-21 Euro 2025-winning captain. McAtee made 27 appearances for City last season, starting only three Premier League games.

Forest are also closing in on Rennes striker Arnaud Kalimuendo, with the combined outlay for all three deals approaching £90m. The club’s search for attacking options follows the £55m sale of Anthony Elanga to Newcastle and the arrival of Dan Ndoye from Bologna. Brentford had previously matched Hutchinson’s release clause but saw their offer rejected as it was not upfront cash, causing the clause to lapse.

Hutchinson, who scored in England Under-21’s Euro final win against Germany from a McAtee assist, joined Ipswich from Chelsea for £20m last summer after a loan spell that helped them into the Premier League. Despite scoring three goals in 31 league games, Ipswich were relegated. They have also sold striker Liam Delap to Chelsea for £30m after his 12-goal season.
