After winning the Asia Cup 2025 final, the Indian team didn't collect the trophy from Mohsin Naqvi, the ACC Chief. But there could have been another way for the team to take the trophy and troll Naqvi at the same time.

The Asia Cup 2025 final itself kept the fans on the edge of their seats. But the post-match presentation turned out to be more intense than what happened on the field, especially when it was time for the trophy celebration. For the same reason, to collect the trophy from him.

After waiting for a few minutes, Naqvi went off the stage with the trophy and medals he had to give to the Indian team. However, there was another way in which the team could have collected the trophy and also trolled the Pakistani team and the ACC Chief at the same time.

1. How India Could’ve Snatched the Trophy

The Indian cricket fans on Twitter have been suggesting several ways in which the team could have taken the trophy from Mohsin Naqvi. But out of them all, the best way would have been by , after Australia had won the Champions Trophy.

After Australia had won the trophy, it was Sharad Pawar who presented the trophy to them. But the team was busy with celebrations, due to which they deliberately pushed Pawar off the stage after taking the trophy from him. Immediately after taking the trophy, Ricky Ponting went back to his teammates while his teammates urged Pawar to go off the stage.

In this way, the Australian team took the trophy and also trolled Pawar, who presented them with the trophy. If the Indian team had done the same with Mohsin Naqvi, it would have been a cherry on top of the celebrations they did to troll Pakistan after winning the final match.

2. India’s Trophy-Less Troll Brilliance

The Indian team surely must not have gotten the idea to recreate Australia's 2006 Champions Trophy scenario. But the team still gave their best reply to Pakistan and the ACC Chief Mohsin Naqvi after winning the Asia Cup final. First of all, they didn't go for the trophy presentation,

Later, when Naqvi went off the stage, Suryakumar Yadav, along with the other Indian players, went on to celebrate their finals win. However, in this case, Suryakumar Yadav emerged with an imaginary trophy, and the Indian team celebrated it in the same way as they did after winning the T20 World Cup 2024.

This is not where the trolling by the Indian team ended. The players also entered the chat to troll Pakistan, and the behaviour of Mohsin Naqvi, as he went back with the trophy and medals. The winning team should have gotten the trophy and medals, but in this case, Naqvi must have decided to allow the Pakistani team to take some photos with the same trophy by taking the trophy with him.

The Indian players took to their social media, . Shubman Gill posted an image on his official Instagram handle, where he was together with Abhishek Sharma. Both openers pretended to have held the Asia Cup trophy, as Gill edited the image to add the trophy emoji along with the text of Asia Cup Winner.

Hardik Pandya, known for doing his iconic pose with the trophy, also did the same after India had won the Asia Cup 2025. He did the same pose with the T20 World Cup 2024 trophy, Champions Trophy 2025 trophy, and also with the Asia Cup 2025 imaginary trophy. This was a great way to show that, despite not receiving the trophy, the celebrations must go on.

Varun Chakravarthy, India's spinner, . After winning the final match, the next day, he posted an image of himself lying in bed with the cup. And it was a normal cup, not the Asia Cup trophy, marking as a troll to the Pakistani team, that the only cup they have gotten so far is this.
